Soft green lawns lead to the beach which is of the finest white sand you can imagine. A small cove is shaded by an old banyan tree that frames the views of the Mokulua Islands, a popular destination for ocean kayakers. The protected waters of Lanikai on the Windward side of Oahu make this a great place for a beach vacation.

The estate has several private sunning areas, a heated swimming pool that is accented with a waterfall, pool cabana with spa, and a Japanese Furo bath in the Asian bathhouse. The natural beauty of the Paul Mitchell Estate is meticulously maintained and a number of water features with a Koi fish pond.

The Paul Mitchell estate is a collection of 7 buildings, pavilions and houses that are constructed with Ohia wood, Ironwood shakes from Indonesia, and hand woven grass ceilings. The interiors are a blend of rare hardwoods, marble, and granites and with the windows being capable of retracting fully make the accommodations open to the cooling trade winds.

The central building is two storey and contains a living room, dining room, kitchen, as well as two bedrooms and 2 private bathrooms and a powder room. Adjacent is the boat house, which has a bedroom and private bathroom and a living area on the second floor. The living area upstairs is one of the favorite places to spend time enjoying the great views out over the beach toward the Mokulea Islands.

Another dining room, kitchen, living area is connected to the boat house by a covered walkway. This building also houses two more bedrooms. From here another covered walkway takes you to the Japanese bath house that is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the body. The combination of the deep soaking Furo bath, sauna and shower should be enough to ease away most aches.

Sitting opposite the bathhouse across the estate’s courtyard is the Carriage House which houses the third kitchen, living area and two more bedrooms and bathrooms above the garage. This often works well for staff members as it is slightly removed form the other guest quarters. Toward the main gate is the Pool Cabana that in addition to the swimming pool also has a waterfall, two full baths and a hot tub.
"
